Meet Chandra Breslow: Where The Performance Ends

Registered Associate Marriage and Family Therapist (Pending)

Supervised by Bob Northcutt, LMFT (#51430)

Hi, I’m Chandra, an Associate Marriage and Family Therapist working with individuals and couples who want more meaningful connection – to themselves, to each other, and to the lives they’re living.

I work with driven, deeply feeling creatives, artists, and high achievers who have built their lives around “getting it right”, but may find themselves feeling anxious, overwhelmed, disconnected, or alone underneath it all.

Together, let’s get curious about what’s happening beneath the surface; your patterns, your pain, the ways you’ve learned to protect yourself, and the parts of yourself you may have spent a lifetime trying to avoid or hide. We’ll begin to understand how the patterns emerged and how they show up in your relationships today. We will explore what’s possible as you develop a deeper relationship with yourself.

In our sessions, we can slow down and peek behind the curtain. We will:

  • Establish a safe and judgment free therapy space

  • Explore your anxiety, depression, trauma, and critical self-talk without letting them define you

  • Get to know the parts of yourself you’ve learned to hide, silence, or avoid

  • Build a more authentic relationship with yourself and the people you care about.

I also work with couples who want to better understand the patterns they find themselves caught in. Rather than simply focusing on who is right or wrong, together, we’ll get curious about what is happening between you and what each person may be protecting, longing for, or afraid of. Drawing from Emotionally Focused Therapy and the Gottman Method, we can work together to help those patterns begin to shift.

My work is LGBTQIA+ affirming, with particular consideration for bi+, pan, and fluid communities that can sometimes feel overlooked or erased, even within queer spaces.

Coming from a career in the performing arts, I know firsthand what it means to shine onstage in front of thousands of people and still feel unseen and alone. That experience eventually brought me to therapy, where I discovered a world inside myself that I had never really known how to explore. I’d like to help you explore that world within yourself. You don’t have to come to therapy with everything figured out. In fact, you don’t have to perform at all.

Chandra’s Approach

In the therapy room, I want you to be able to show up as your whole self.

My approach is warm, caring, and grounded in psychodynamic, depth-oriented therapy and a client-centered understanding of the therapeutic relationship. I believe the relationship we build together matters. Creating a space where you feel safe enough to be honest, curious, messy, uncertain, and fully yourself is the foundation of the work.

My hope is that therapy becomes a place where you feel genuinely known. A place to develop a more meaningful relationship with yourself and create more authentic connection with the people around you.
